Present Simple или Present Continuous. Упражнения (уровень I)

Упражнение 1. Выберите из скобок нужную форму. Объясните сделанный выбор.

(уровень II)

В этих предложениях не всегда есть подсказки (временные выражение). Подсказкой может являться сама ситуация — КОНТЕКСТ. Попробуйте представить, происходит ли данное действие в настоящем времени (вы как бы видите эту картинку) — Present Continuous или действие повторяется изо дня в день — Present Simple.

Упражнение 6. Поставьте глаголы, данные в скобках, в нужном времени.

1. My brother (talk) to Tom now. 2. Не (work) hard every day. 3. That girl (speak) English very well. 4. My friend (enjoy) hamburgers very much. 5. John and Frank (write) letters at this moment. 6. Упражнение 9. Поставьте глаголы в скобках в Present Simple или Present Continuous.

Итак, вы запомнили, что подсказкой на время глагола может быть: временное выражение или контекст. А еще подсказкой может быть сам глагол. Например, такие распространенные глаголы ниже НЕ УПОТРЕБЛЯЮТСЯ в Present Continuous. Они всегда стоят в SIMPLE.

love — любить
hate — ненавидеть
like — нравиться
need — нуждаться
see — видеть
hear — слышать
know — знать
remember — помнить
understand — понимать

Упражнение 11. Поставьте глаголы, данные в скобках, в нужном времени (в Present Simple или Present Continuous.)

1. Give Ben lots of apples. He (like) them. 2. It’s quiet because the children (stay) with their grandmother. 3. I’m sorry, he can’t come to phone. He (cook) dinner. 4. — You (hear) anything? — I (listen) hard, but I (hear) nothing. 5. They (need) money to buy a car.

Упражнение 16. Переведите на английский язык.

1. — Где Вадим? — Он играет в теннис. 2. — Он хорошо играет в теннис? — Нет, он играет в теннис плохо. 3. Я не знаю человека, который (who) разговаривает с моей мамой. 4. Я часто разговариваю с моим другом о нашей поездке. 5. Андрей поет очень хорошо. 6. Слушайте. Кто-то поет в соседней комнате. 7. Он не видит, что я на него смотрю. Он читает книгу. 8. Итак, подведем итоги. Вы изучили на базовом уровне два часто употребляемых времени в английском языке (Present Simple и Present Continuous) и выполнили достаточное количество упражнений для их закрепления. На этом изучение грамматики английского языка не заканчивается. Далее осталось изучить еще два времени — Past Simple (прошедшее простое) и Future Simple (будущее простое) и с временами пока закончим. Present Simple и Present Continuous являются настоящими временами в английском языке. При этом их употребление не пересекается — у каждого времени есть свои правила использования.

Present Simple

Утверждение

I/We/You/They work.

He/She/It works.

Вопрос

Am I beautiful?

Are we/you/they beautiful?

Отрицание

I/We/You/They do not (=don’t) work.

He/She/It does not (=doesn’t) work

I am not (=I’m not) beautiful.

We/You/They are not (=aren’t) beautiful.

He/She/It is not (=isn’t) beautiful.

Мы используем Present Simple, когда:

1) говорим о регулярных, повторяющихся действиях

I drink coffee every day. — Я пью кофе каждый день.

We don’t see each other very often. — Мы нечасто видимся.

2) констатируем общеизвестные факты или законы природы

Money doesn’t grow on trees. — Деньги не растут на деревьях.

Water is liquid. — Вода является жидкостью.

Это правило распространяется и на то, что говорящий сам считает абсолютной истиной

People don’t change. — Люди не меняются.

Smart men don’t get married. — Умные мужчины не женятся.

3) сообщаем о будущем событии, которое выполняется согласно расписанию

I have an English class this Tuesday. — В этот вторник у меня занятие по английскому.

The train leaves at half past four. — Поезд отходит в половине пятого.

Present Continuous

Утверждение

I am working.

We/You/They are working.

He/She/It is working.

Вопрос

Am I working?

Are we/you/they working?

Is he/she/it working?

Отрицание

I am not (=I’m not) working.

We/You/They are not (=aren’t) working.

He/She/It is not (=isn’t) working.

Мы используем Present Continuous, когда:

1) действие проиходит в настоящий момент

You are reading this article. — Вы читаете эту статью.

Look at the man who is drinking coffee. — Посмотри на мужчину, который пьёт кофе.

2) сообщаем о событиях, которые происходят слишком часто, высказывая таким образом своё раздражение

You are always taking my mug! — Вечно ты берёшь мою кружку!

She’s always complaining. — Она вечно жалуется.

3) говорите о динамичной, развивающейся ситуации

The polar ice is melting very fast. — Полярные льды очень быстро таят.

The world is changing. — Мир меняется.

4) говорите о планах на будущее, особенно если вам известно место и время события

I am seeing Grandma tomorrow. — Завтра я вижусь с бабушкой.

She is meeting up with some people from the office tonight. — Сегодня вечером она встречается с людьми с работы.

Задание из видеоурока:

I usually come back from work at around 7. (регулярное действие)

I am coming back to Moscow first thing tomorrow. (запланированное действие)

She always buys her coffee here. (регулярное действие)

Упражнение 1. Вставьте подходящие глаголы в форме Present Simple или Present Continuous.
