на одном из форумов я запостил пост по поводу тех проблем, мож и тут кому поможет:

игру запускайте не родным ярлыком, а файлом Settlers6.exe из папки bin игры, образ должен быть примонтирован демоном.

КСТАТИ! владельцам LCD мониторов нужно выставить разрешение монитора 1024*768 и только потом запускать игру. Иначе она долго тупит и выдает ошибку RwEngineStart()

вот пример описалова видел, незнаю как долго он сохранится в кэше гугла

У меня точно так было(на монике у меня разрешуха 1680*1050) и игра не запускалась. А как выставил специально для игры 1024*768 то запустилась и все пошло. Потом уже в самой игре можно выставить разрешение как у вас на монике, например 1680*1050, в последующем будет нормально запускаться.
Это видимо дебилизм заставки в игре, которая хочет только в режиме 1024*768 стартовать первый раз.
