Здравствуйте, Устанавливал как-то Visual C++ для Visual Studio И заметил ошибку «0x80070005 — Отказано в доступе».
Спустя какое то время в журнале ошибок, на форумах,в ютубе, на разных сайтах я так и не исправил её, но удалось узнать то что во всём виновата папка Package Cache, нажав win+r я ввёл: C:/ProgramData/Package Cache/ и мне показало
ошибку в доступе. Я пытался найти эту папку в ProgramData но там её попросту нет. В поиске ввёл её название и ничего не выдало. Пытался создавать новую папку с таким же названием в ProgramData но, выдавало:Конечная папка уже содержит папку с именем Package Cache, подтверждаете слияние папок? Я нажимал ок, но папка создавалась и сразу пропадала, с изменении имени других папок возникает такая же проблема.

I have downloaded the current Redistributable version 14.26.28720 and when I try to install it the install fails.

it shows:
The older version of microsoft visual C++ 2019 x64 MInimum runtiome 14.28.29913 cannot be removed.Contact your technical support group.
Why is this failing and how do I fix it?

My name is Jon and I am an independent technical adviser. Sorry to hear you are experiencing issues and I would really like to help you find a resolution.
This isn’t a problem with the Visual C++ 2015 — 2019 redistributable that you are trying to install. There is a Visual C++ 2015 redistributable already installed and the problem is with that.
The version of the redistributable that you are trying to install is trying to remove the old version of the Visual C++ redistributable, and this is failing.
To remove this redistributable, you must obtain a copy of the Visual C++ 2015 version 14.0.24215 and use that to remove the redistributable. It must be this exact version. Once you have done that then the Visual C++ 2015 — 2019 will install.

I suggest you to uninstall any existing Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Package and install the latest Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package to check if it helps.
Follow the below steps:
Step 1: Uninstall the exiting Microsoft Visual C++.
a) Press Windows key + x key and select
Programs and Features.b) Right click on the Microsoft Visual C++ and uninstall it.
Step 2: Download the latest Microsoft Visual C++ and install it.

Установщик сначала распаковывал файлы инстоллятора в папку C:UsersUM071P~1AppDataLocalTemp{8454BCA5-8827-42D9-A4F7-336F257C9D28}TlsClientX64 , затем пытался записать файл Континент TLS-клиент.msi по одному из указанных выше путей: C:ProgramDataPackage Cache.unverifiedTlsClientX64 или C:ProgramDataPackage Cache{5968F11A-4752-468A-B135-BB9A60DC17D2}v2.0.1440.0 , и у установщика это не получилось. Если такие пути (с файлами или без) уже существуют, попробуйте их куда-нибудь переместить — возможно, что их наличие мещает.
Если не получится, то установите каждый Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable самостоятельно по отдельности (их четыре штуки — откройте скачанный раньше файл архиватором). Затем попробуйте установить Континент TLS-клиент.msi через командную строку, запущенную по правой кнопке мыши от имени администратора, со следующими параметрами:
, где C:temp — папка (должна существовать), куда будет сохраняться лог msi-инстоллятора при установке.
Континент TLS-клиент.msi можно вытащить, разархивировав
файл по ссылке
, находится в папке x64.
XC можно будет установить отдельно из дистрибутива Jinn-client 1.0.3050.0.

Finally I opened the process monitor trace on my one of lab. From the setup log, we know install SSMS17.3 failed also.
Burn v3.8.1128.0, Windows v6.3 (Build 9600: Service Pack 0), path:
gladiasoftwarekits$SQLServerSSMSSSMS-Setup-ENU_17_3.exeFrom the process monitor, we can see some access denied message. Please check if the current account has permission to access the path: C:Program Files(x86)Common Files Microsoft Shared.
Please check the vsta_ls.exe file is exists in path ‘C:ProgramDataPackage Cache4F812BBB2BE7E30CED293F8A229A5410D70DE6DBredist’, if you can the file, please manually install it.
I copied the file to
DevSQLMSDhelloFollowup117101316489252 , if cx no this file, please share the file to cx.In addition, I tried to install SSMS 17.3 on my lab, here is all of components after SSMS17.3 installation. Could please help to capture a screenshot, I would like to check which component is missing on your side.

It is installed!
The fix was adjusting the permissions to C:ProgramDataMicrosoftHelpLibrary2. As I mentioned earlier in this thread, I saw in the logs that it didn’t find this folder so I manually created it. The fix was to
set the permissions on that folder to what was set for C:ProgramDataMicrosoftHelpLibrary. Once I did that, the install succeeded.Thank you for your help.

В идеале она занимает достаточно мало места, но при длительной работе размеры файлов значительно увеличиваются, и занимают достаточно много дискового пространства.
Что это за папка?
Package Cache появляется после установки Visual Studio и резервирует под себя место. При появлении Package Cache что это за папка определить просто. Главная задача папки – бэкап предыдущих версий программы при сбоях. В файлах хранятся данные о предыдущих обновлениях приложения, и при нарушении работы они оперативно восстанавливаются.
Package Cache также необходим во время обновлений Visual Studio. Программа устанавливает патчи только при наличии пакетов кэша. Поэтому, если по какой-то причине у вас удалена папка Package Cache, вы увидите такое сообщение.
Кэш-папка должна занимать не больше 50 мегабайт. Но новыми версиями программы предусмотрено резервирование кэш-пространства до 2500 мегабайт. В этом случае, даже пустой кэш-файл занимает много места.

Можно ли удалить эту папку и файлы?
На вопрос можно ли удалять Package Cache есть ответ от официального поставщика. Microsoft настоятельно не рекомендует удалять кэш-папку. Но вы можете переместить ее на диск со свободным пространством. В этом случае, придется указать путь к файлам вручную. Это можно сделать непосредственно через программу или с использованием командной строки:
- Нужно создать директорию D:C_DRIVEProgramData а в ней папку Package Cache.
- Копируем папку в новую директорию.
- При помощи команд rmdir и mklink переносим папку в новое расположение.
Важно! Если вы просто удалите папку с файлами, то программа автоматически зарезервирует для себя пространство снова. Но в этом случае возможен программный сбой. Поэтому файлы нужно именно переместить на новое место, а не просто создать новую директорию с пустым кэш-файлом.

The error code «0x80070005» means Access Denied. For the issue, it’s the privilege that causes this problem, you can try the following methods to solve it:

This isn’t a problem with the Visual C++ 2015 — 2019 redistributable that you are trying to install. There is a Visual C++ 2015 redistributable already installed and the problem is with that.
The version of the redistributable that you are trying to install is trying to remove the old version of the Visual C++ redistributable, and this is failing.
To remove this redistributable, you must obtain a copy of the Visual C++ 2015 version 14.0.24215 and use that to remove the redistributable. It must be this exact version. Once you have done that then the Visual C++ 2015 — 2019 will install.
