PS4 Slim cannot access system storage (SU-42477-4)

Full Story:

I’ve had no issues for the 2 years that I’ve owned my PS4 Slim after my original model PS4 kicked the bucket. When I booted up the system this morning I immediately noticed that all sections of the home media board, such as friends list, notifications, and application data were taking noticeably longer to load, and even causing the system to periodically freeze and become unresponsive to controller inputs.

After attempting to start an application the PS4 crashed and and had to do the typical check through system memory, when the check completed and the PS4 restarted, the system automatically went into rest mode giving me an error message stating that system was unable to start, and that I would need to reinstall the system data using a USB device.

I tried many fixes that I had seen online to attempt to save my application and save game data, but after every reboot I was greeted with the same message. I went to the PlayStation website, downloaded the PS4UPDATE.PUP file, and followed all directions to factory reset my PS4. After booting in safe mode and selecting option 7. With my USB plugged in, the system initialized and then began to prepare to update the system software, however, before this process could be completed I recieved a new error: «Cannot access system storage. (SU-42477-4) and giving me no other option but to power down the system. I attempted this process with the same result twice.

TL;DR:

PS4 Slim was acting very laggy and unresponsive, after the system crashed I recieved an error stating that the PS4 Cannot start, after trying many other fixes and eventually trying to factory reset using a USB in safe mode, I recieved a new error code stating that the system «Cannot access system storage»

I would sincerely appreciate any known fixes, advice, or insight that any other users might be able to provide for me, and I also apologize for any errors with format as I created this post from a mobile device.

When I gambled the cable was pulled from the ps4. When I restarted the ps4 it came out that I should pull the update on a stick and download it. I did everything right but it loaded up to 99 percent and then no longer, and then there was su424774 can’t access system storage .Is my hard drive defective?
