Also, wild animals often carry diseases that would harm the other animals in the zoo. Today, therefore, most zoos get their animals from the captive breeding programmes of other zoos.

5Gyms these days are full of all kinds of fancy exercise equipment; treadmills, rowing machines, exercise bikes, resistance machines and much more. But the biggest gyms also have swimming pools, steam rooms and cafeterias. They offer classes in yoga, dance, aerobics and many other forms of exercise. And they have expert trainers on hand to answer all your fitness questions.

6Here is one thing that we can all do to help species that are close to extinction. When travelling overseas, be very careful not to buy any souvenirs that have been made from species nearing extinction. This means avoiding purchasing items made from ivory, coral and fur and also ‘medicinal’ products as they often contain rhino, tiger and bear parts.

7Wildlife parks and zoos are very educational places but perhaps their greatest purpose is the conservation of endangered species. Animal centres all around the world work together in order to breed rare and endangered species. For example, today there are only a few hundred giant pandas left in the wild. If breeding programmes and conservation efforts are successful, future generations may still be able to see these beautiful animals in the flesh, not just in books.

these rooms would be too expensive for us. The man must have read my thoughts. “Now, normally I’d be asking twice as much for these rooms,” he began, “but you’re in luck because the tourist season is practically over.”

The rooms were perfect. The décor was slightly shabby but, as if to make up for it, the balcony had a stunning view over the town. We decided to stay for a month initially, and depending on what happened, we would come to an arrangement after that. It was a relief to be settled somewhere, if only for a few weeks. I could now pack my suitcase in record time and we’d met so many people that I’d lost count. Sometimes when I was introduced to yet another stranger I would change my name, just to make it more interesting.

В этих предложениях есть подсказки (временные выражения).

Однако, ВНИМАНИЕ, эти подсказки работают только в настоящем времени (когда глагол-действие отвечает на вопрос: Что делает предмет?)

В этих предложениях не всегда есть подсказки (временные выражение). Подсказкой является может являться сама ситуация — КОНТЕКСТ. Попробуйте представить, происходит ли данное действие в настоящем времени (вы как бы видите эту картинку) — Present Continuous или действие регулярно повторяется изо дня в день — Present Simple.

Итак, вы запомнили, что подсказкой на время глагола может быть: временное выражение или контекст. А еще подсказкой может быть сам глагол. Например, такие распространенные глаголы ниже НЕ УПОТРЕБЛЯЮТСЯ в Present Continuous. Они всегда стоят в SIMPLE.

Вопросительная форма простого настоящего времени:

Вопросительная форма простого настоящего времени образуется с помощью вспомогательного глагола “ do ” (“ does ”-3л. Ед . ч .).

We go to school 5 days week.

Общий вопрос : Do we go to school 5 days a week? Yes, wed do. No we don’t.

Альтернативный вопрос : Do we go to school 5 or 6 days a week?

Разделительный вопрос : We go to school 5 days a week, don’t we?

Вопрос к подлежащему : Who goes to school 5 days a week? (всегда в 3л.ед.ч.)

(Обратите внимание на отсутствие вспомогательного глагола.)

Простое настоящее время выражает действие привычное, часто повторяющееся. Им обозначается также последовательность нескольких действий. В контексте обычны следующие обстоятельства времени:

occasionally – время от времени

every day – каждый день

twice a week – два раза в неделю

on weekdays – в рабочие дни

on weekends – по выходным

My Friend’s Family

Nick also has a brother and a sister. His brother is a worker. His sister is a doctor. Her husband is a teacher. He teaches French. Nick and his relatives are very nice people.

Упражнение 1. Перепишите глаголы в утвердительной форме ( affirmative) для укажанных местоимений и существительных.

Важно помнить, что каждое существительное (имя, предмет) может заменяться на местоимение. Например: Мария — она, Петр — он, Петр и Мария — они, Петр и я — мы, Петр и ты — вы. Так как у нас чаще в данном времени применяются активные глаголы (глаголы действия: бежать, жить, работать), то и лица, их выполняющие будут живыми людьми или животными или живыми существами (инопланетянами, например). Также важно помнить что местоимения heshe в значении «онона» применяются к людям или животным, пол которых известен. Дикие животные в ед. числе всегда it (онона). Медведь — it, белка — it. Мы же не побежим её спрашивать, она белка- девочка или мальчик.

Необходимая лексика: Я — I, иметь — have или have got, мой отец — my father, моя мама — my mum, мой брат — my brother, мы — we. Очень хорошо — very well, говорить по — английски — speak English. Любить — like, жаркая погода — hot weather. Машина — a car, жить — live, в Лондоне — in London. Писать — write, книги — books. Ездить на рыбалку- go fishing, по выходным — at the weekends. Играть на скрипке — play the violin. Ходить в кино — go to the cinema go to the movies, каждую пятницу — every Friday.

Важно помнить правила построения предложений: Утверждениеотрицание — Кто+ что (не) делает+ все остальное. Даже если по — русски можно поменять слова — Я вас люблю, по — английски будет I love you= I (кто)+love (что делает) +you (все остальное).

Упражнение 9. Задайте вопросы, опираясь на предложенные слова и ответы.

Заметьте, что в вопросах нужно вставить вспомогательный глагол. В настоящем времени Present Simple это глагол do (does).
