Takes noticeable longer to get to the login screen, does a 5-15 minute disk repair before it fully boots up, and certain system caches get cleared and rebuilt, including dynamic loader cache, etc

I am experiencing some problems with my mac- specifically 2 errors at the same time.
I can’t download or delete anything(folders, apps etc..) ,
safari is not working either,
Google works sometimes,
when i try to open itunes it says: An unknown error occured (1304)
moreover i cant delete photos as when i try to it says: the operation can’t be completed because an unexpected error occurred (error code -50).
I can’t even update my mac.i need my mac to be working properly ASAP please could you tell me a way i could repair it?

Error updating Mac OS
I had to update my MacBook air to Mac Big Sur (previously i had mojave) as I had to back up my iphone and was unable to as my Mac Os was too ‘old’. While trying to update an error has occurred, I have already restarted my mac a lot of times and whenever i restart it it automatically goes to the update mode and the error message pops up again. I am unable to access my mac or any files in it at all as it automatically goes to the update page whenever i restart it and there is always an error when its updating.i am a student and i it is very important for me to access my mac and its files but i am unable to do so. What should i do?

Error -34… Now that’s a name I’ve not heard in a long time… a long time.
This is most likely dskFulErr, declared in <MacErrors.h> with the comment disk full.

If you’re a regular Mac user, you’ve likely encountered the dreaded “The operation couldn’t be completed” error message. This error, which is often accompanied by (OSStatus error -34), appears when there is not enough free space on your hard drive.
In this tutorial, I will show you how to fix the error code -34 on your Mac when trying to delete files for additional disk space.
Check how much space is available on Mac
One of the first steps to troubleshooting the OSStatus error 34 is to check how much storage space is available on your Mac.
When the available space on your hard drive is low, you may not be able to complete an operation as the error message indicates “Disk Full.”
Step 1: Click on the Apple logo in the top left corner of your screen.
Step 2: Select About This Mac.
Step 3: Click on Storage.
Upon opening the Storage tab, it will say “Calculating…” Wait until your Mac fully calculates and categorizes the files and storage.
If your Mac has plenty of free storage space:
- You can go ahead and restart your computer. There is no reason for it to display the error code -34 when your disk is not full yet. This could just be a minor bug. A quick reboot will resolve the issue.
If your Mac is out of storage, continue with the tutorial.
Empty the trash
Let’s begin by emptying the trash on your Mac. It’s one of the quickest ways to free up space and fix the OSStatus error -34 message.
The trash can take up a lot of space on your hard drive, especially if you have deleted large or multiple files at once.
Step 1: Open the Trash application.
Step 2: Click on the Empty button.
Check the available space again and try the operation that was failing before. The error message should be gone.
Delete unneeded files
You can free up space and resolve the error OSStatus -34 by identifying and deleting unnecessary files.
There are several places where you can find files that you may no longer need.
- Media library (music, movies, and podcasts are common files to delete).
- Downloads (This folder may contain a lot of transient files).
- Applications (Uninstall apps that you no longer use).
- Email app (Remove junk mail and “Deleted Items” entirely from your Mail app).
Don’t forget to empty the Trash as a final step.
Use an external drive
Suppose your Mac’s internal hard drive is full, and you cannot free up space by deleting unnecessary files or emptying the trash.
In that case, you can use an external hard drive. This way, you’ll be able to complete the operation without getting OSStatus error -34.
Step 1: Purchase an external hard drive for your Mac in case you don’t already have one.
Step 2: Connect it to your Mac via USB cable.
Step 3: Once connected, it should appear on your Mac or in the Finder’s sidebar.
Step 4: Drag and drop large files from your Mac to the external hard drive.
Step 5: Once the transfer is complete, delete the original files on your Mac. Be sure to empty the Trash after.
By following the methods above, you should be able to fix the OSStatus error -34 in macOS.
If you continue to experience issues, you can try booting into macOS Recovery and using Disk Utility to reset your Mac. This may be your last resort, but it can often be effective.

This is a Mac operating system error that generally indicates a full disk.
Both of the old Encore threads I had flagged were not carried into the new forums. I don’t recall whether the actual threads indicated that a full disk was the problem or not.
John’s link is for an Adobe error 34. I don’t think those links will be helpful.

Вот тут нам и пригодится однопользовательский режим загрузки OS X.
В OS X, равно как и в других Unix-подобных операционных системах, присутствует несколько режимов загрузки. С одним из них вы прекрасно знакомы — это обычный режим с оконным интерфейсом, меню, Доком, Finder и всеми привычными приложениям. Но существует и однопользовательский режим (Single-user mode), в котором все системные ресурсы выделяются только одному пользователю. Обычно в нем специалисты и продвинутые юзеры проводят техническое обслуживание компьютера и устраняют неполадки, связанные с загрузкой.
Для того, чтобы запустить Мак в таком режиме, вам потребуется выполнить несколько простых действий:
- Выключите полностью компьютер и подождите несколько секунд.
- Потом включите его кнопкой питания, одновременно зажав и удерживая клавиши
Command + S. - Сначала вы услышите привычный звук включения, а после небольшого ожидания на черном экране появится белый текст. Это и есть однопользовательский режим.
Владельцам iMac, Mac Pro и Mac mini стоит обратить внимание, что Bluetooth-клавиатура инициализируется довольно долго, поэтому выполнять данные шаги лучше с помощью проводной клавиатуры. Но если её нет под рукой, будьте морально готовы повторить вышеуказанные действия не один раз.
У владельцев MacBook Pro и MacBook Air никаких проблем возникнуть не должно.
Работа в однопользовательском режиме напоминает работу в Терминале. Чтобы проверить диск на ошибки, нам потребуется ввести следующую команду и нажать Enter:
/sbin/fsck -yf
Первая часть команды — это вызов системной утилиты fsck (сокращение от «file system check»), которая с незапамятных времен проверяет и устраняет ошибки файловой системы во многих операционных системах из семейства Unix. А опции -yf означают следующее: команда не станет понапрасну беспокоить пользователя, автоматически отвечая «Да» на все запросы, и будет проверять даже те разделы, которые помечены «чистыми».
Работа утилиты разбита на пять этапов, и по окончанию всех действий на экран может быть выведено одно из двух сообщений. Если fsck обнаружит проблемы и выполнит изменение, восстановление или настройку какого-либо элемента файловой системы, то вы увидите такой текст:

Процедуры восстановления могут выявить дополнительные проблемы, так что это обычная практика. В данном случае вам потребуется запускать команду /sbin/fsck -yf до тех пор, пока на экране не появится сообщение о том, что всё в порядке:
