Ошибка vulkan 1 dll при запуске rpcs3

Quick summary

Just updated to 0.0.25-14413, RPCS3 now reports vulkan-1.dll as being incorrectly installed, despite installing it from the provided link and it being present in C:WindowsSystem32.

image

The DLL is not present anywhere in the RPCS3 directory either.

My wild guess is that the system root check in module_verifier.hpp, line 53, is case-sensitive when it should not be and the string literal it’s searching for in the path is defined as C:\WINDOWS\, all caps.

@boludoz

Vulkan-1.dll error.

I got this error because I don’t have vulkan support in the drivers (although it could theoretically be possible, they were never released). To fix the problem, I installed VulkanRT and was able to play with decent FPS, but I wish you didn’t ask for this to run because most people don’t know that OpenGL can be used.

Tested in APU A10 6800K with no Vulkan support.

@Megamouse

@MSuih

There’s no useful information in the log, the current dll check is not done by rpcs3.

I think issue #5953 should be used for discussion about the vulkan-1.dll error dialog, additional issues are unneccessary.

In this article, you will find how to fix the RPCS3 Vulkan-1.dll missing Error

RPCS3 is an open-source Sony PlayStation 3 emulator for Windows and Linux, started in 2011 by DH and Hykem. The project was originally called PS3Emu, but it was renamed to avoid confusion with the PSX emulator ePSXe. This error can be caused by many things, including a corrupt game ISO or incorrect installation of the latest version of the emulator. Follow these steps below to fix this issue! Click here for more information on how to fix RPCS3 Vulkan-1.dll missing error!

The RPCS3 Vulkan-1.dll file is missing on your computer.

There is no Vulkan-1.dll in the PC or software folder, so this error occurs. We’ll fix this problem by finding the missing file. The problem might be because your computer’s hard drive didn’t work, or because there is something wrong with the file.

  1. Click here to download the file that is causing the problem.
  2. To install the Vulkan file, you need to double-click it and follow the on-screen instructions. Then go to its folder and extract the file.
  3. Open the folder that has the file you pulled out.
  4. Download the OpenCL software from the internet. Double-click on the downloaded file to start installing it. Then install WebdriverIO, agreeing to any additional terms or conditions. The installation will finish soon.
  5. Follow the instructions and open RPCS3. You’ll see that the problem has been solved.

If you game won’t start, it might be because the Vulkan-1.dll file is missing. All of this started when the Vulkan-1.dll file was gone. 365fix can be used to update the antivirus software on your PC if you are having trouble with it. Question
12-06-2022, 09:09 PM —

Hi, I know this is a common issue and the pop up message itself shows how to fix it. But I just couldn’t, I installed the ‘VulkanRT-1.3.231.1-Installer’ that its linked in the error message, but It’s not working.
I tried to search for the Vulkan-1.dll in the RPCS3 directory and I couldn’t find it either, so I couldn’t delete it.
Maybe it could be that my RPCS3 directory is installed in the D:// instead of the C:// disk?
I didn’t know how to post the log so I post an image of the error message:

Hi Ani,

I seem to be having the same issue.  I have screengrabs (please see enclosed) but basically, this is a vulkan-1.dll error.  I’ve followed the instructions to install but it still gives me the same error.  Drivers are up-to-date.  Ran VkDiag and it feels everything is in order.  Per the message in Capture01, vulkan-1.dll isn’t in the rpcs3’s installation folder so there’s nothing to delete.  Any help with this?

Thanks!
QL

I just registered to reply to this.

Same error here, happened after updating RPCS3.

Extracting latest build over old one does not fix the error. Extracting latest build to new folder, installing firmware and still get same error. VkDiag says ‘everything seems to be fine’.

Something has been broken by one of the recent RPCS3 updates.

That’s not an incorrect error if you have that DLL on the RPCS3 folder.
Read what the error says.

If you don’t have that DLL on the RPCS3 folder, show a screenshot of the entire RPCS3 folder.

Fixed with latest build installed to new folder — my shortcut was still pointing to old version. Thanks.
