Ошибка session php в joomla

public $session_handler = 'database';

Возможно, кому то поможет. На одном хостинге версия PHP 7.2 — сайт работает нормально, на другом та же 7.2 выдает ошибку

мне помогло переключение на версию 7.1
не знаю как, мистика может, или на том хостинге семерка как то не так настроена, но вобщем фишка была именно в этом

как переносили

через filezilla напрямую, ну и базу данных по стандарту

Проверьте подключение к базе данных и права юзера БД .

Хотя может и права на папку
Не работает сайт на локалке

Права менял по-разному, не помогло (хотя не пробовал задавать 755 для всех файлов пути /libraries/joomla/session/handler/native.php)
Права администратора к базе (до этого сайт переносил, проблем не было)

А как можно проверить само подключение к БД?

перенос был с другого пк название диска изменилось, изначально скопировал полностью и поверх установил опенсервер.
ошибка заключалась в том, что после установки поверх не было пользователей бд кроме root и в базе таблица с сессией не работала.

Решил так:
поставил чистую версию openserver, скопировал данные сайта в domains
Исправил пути в переменных log_path и tmp_path в файле C:openserverdomainslocalhostconfiguration.php
и скопировал содержимое файлов папки с базой данных в C:openserveruserdata* в моём случае была папка MariaDB-10.5

When a visitor visits your website, a new session will be started.
The error indicates that Joomla cannot start a new session.

When the error occurs, can you access the Joomla database using phpMyAdmin (in your hosting companies admin panel) ? If you can’t, then it could be an indication of a database server issue at the hosting company.

Something else that you could try, just to test if that has any effect:
Increase the «Session lifetime» from 30 to 60.
Change «Session handler» from database to PHP.

Thank you. I will give this a try today and see what effect it has today. I’ve reached out to GoDaddy, they advised this error, and claimed I needed to reach out to my developer. Just trying to pass blame it seems, despite knowing they have database issues that brought my site down for hours, days ago.

It will affect the positions and look n feel but it will rule out server error if it works with Protostar.

If not it could still be a 3rd party extension error. Then you could disable all non Joomla extensions and test.

Can definitely give this a try, my concern is that the error is so intermittent that it’s hard to place a finger on the issue, leading me to think it isn’t the theme/template as this works when the site is up. Definitely could be another extension though!

Please let me know if my logic is not sounds, again, Joomla is a non-typical platform for me nowadays.

3rd party templates like 3rd party extensions can often cause problems when there php is out of date.

However as it has now been stated the problem is «intermittent» then it is probably server related.

I wanted to incrementally try this recommendation from earlier. I increased the session lifetime from 30 to 60, but the problem still remains. I am going to move to PHP from database now. *fingers crossed*

GoDaddy is the host, and yes I have access to the server admin. Updating via Global Config the configuration.php file does in fact change to 444. Yes, going back into Global Config, after noticing the permission level change to 444 it still saves successfully.

Gddy says it all. They have an account on here. But they have not posted on here for more than 7 years because they could not solve gddy related problems.

The problem is on line 6 of your index.php file, as the error message states. However, all current Joomla! versions have comments on line 6 of their index.php, so it is most likely not the original file. It is impossible to get closer to it without source code.
