• Hi Jassi Parmar,

  Have you installed any Microsoft visual c++ package on the machine before?

  I have tried to install Microsoft visual c++ 2005 sp1 on my Windows 10.15063.296 Enterprise and it could be installed well.

  Please try the following steps to troubleshoot the issue.
  1.Run the following fixit tool then try to install again. 
  Fix problems that block programs from being installed or removed

  2.Install in a clean boot environment.

  If the issue persists, please check the Event Viewer(Windows LogsApplications) and cbs.log (C:WindowsLogsCBS) for more information to troubleshoot the issue. If you have troubles in analyzing the log, please upload the log to OneDrive and paste the link

• i tried installing both drivers from offical link bt got the same error.

• Andrew i have already installed the above listed packages , but the software i want to install ANYSYS still reqiures the 2005 package.

  i tried installing drivers in clean boot environment but got the same issue.also, fixit tool is unable to detect any problems.

• — you seem to have AVG Tuneup installed (at least there is a tuscanx.exe running during the setup), which might interfere with Windows update. I recommend not using such utilities.

  which was from the x86 version of the 2005 runtime. And the same for the x64 version:

  You could try dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth

• you could try to: uninstall ALL versions of «Microsoft Visual C++2005 Redistributable», then only install the newest one.

  How about the issue? Have you installed any other Visual C++ version except 2005?

  If you have installed other Visual C++ version on the machine, please try to uninstall them all then reinstall them. Try to download the installation package again.

  Uninstall the antivirus software.
