Error 1723. There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A DLL required for this install to complete could not run. Contact your support personnel or package vendor.

Решение довольно простое:

Обычно причиной ошибки 1723 является отсутствие прав локального пользователя на папку временных файлов Temp. Такое случается, если папка переносилась на новое место или по другим причинам.

1. Отыскиваем её. В профиле пользователя (если это Win7,8,10 или Win 2008,2012), например c:UsersSlavaAppDataLocalTemp или другой путь, если вы его назначили в свойствах системы >> дополнительных параметрах системы >> переменные среды.

2. Удаляем всё лишнее, что удаляется. Не бойтесь, ничего важного в ней не хранится.

3. Переходим в свойства этой папки, далее вкладка Безопасность и назначаем локальному пользователю (в моём примере Slava) полные права.

• Не установлен .Net runtime.

Решения

Для решения данной проблемы выполните следующие действия по порядку. После каждого действия перезагрузите копьютер и повторите установку программы. Переходите к следующему действию, если ошибка не устранилась.

1. Open Windows Explorer are locate the mentioned folder above.
2. Right click on the folder, the Local Properties pop up window will appear.
3. Select the tab Security.
4. Click Edit, the Permissions for Local pop up window will appear.
5. On Group or user names, select the desired user.
6. Ensure that the Allow check box for Full control is activated, else activate it.
7. On the Permissions for Local pop up window, click OK (if no changes were made) or Apply (if changes were made).
8. On the Local Properties pop up window, click OK (if no changes were made) or Apply (if changes were made).

Error Occurred During Online Registration

I purchased Sony Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum 11 via download in 2011. It worked perfectly until my computer crashed. I went to the MAGIX website and downloaded the Sony Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum 11 software from the MAGIX Download Center by entering my serial number. I successfully installed the software onto my computer.

When I submitted the online registration information, I received the following message: «An error has occurred during online registration. Assistance is available by clicking this link. You will be asked to provide the following information: Product Name, Current Serial Number, Machine ID. Once you receive your Authentication Code from a Customer Service Representative, please type it into the field below. Your Authentication Code will look like this: xxxxxxxxx-xxxxxxxxx-xxxxxxxxx-xxxxxxxxx-xxxxxxxxx-xxxxxxxxx

When I click on the link, my internet browser will not let me visit the site, as it says «Your connection is not private. Attackers might be trying to steal your information from www.mediasoftwareapps.com. This server could not prove that it is www.mediasoftwareapps.com; its security certificate is not trusted by your computer’s operating system. This may be caused by a misconfiguration or an attacker intercepting your connection.»

My internet browser gave me the option to proceed to www.mediasoftwareapps.com but it labeled it as «unsafe.»

Is www.mediasoftwareapps.com the correct site that I must visit to obtain an Authentication Code? If not, what is the correct site?

Unless otherwise advised, you may need to note this: «Older versions of Vegas Pro [and Movie Studio] than 14.0 are licensed under a system (as previously used by Sony) which permits use on multiple computers by one user; after an unspecified number of installations on different or updated PCs you may need to contact support to reset your «installation count».

Thank you for your reply. I have submitted a support request to the Vegas Help Center using the support link you provided above.

Your answer did not address my question about whether it was safe to click on the www.mediasoftwareapps.com link. Do you know if this link is a proper link to resolve the registration error? Or has this link been compromised and no longer valid?

Module failed to register vegas pro

In order to solve this problem we need to get back to a «clean state» by uninstalling/removing any currently installed components of our software and starting over.

-The first step will be uninstall the software through Steam.
— In your Steam Library, right-click on the listing for your application and choose «Delete LocalContent».
— The second step will be uninstall the software through Window.
— Go to the Windows Control Panel and choose «Uninstall a program».
— In the «Uninstall a program» list, look for the entries about the application you need to uninstall(there might be more then one).
— Uninstall them by right-clicking on the listing and choosing «Uninstall».
— After uninstalling from both Steam and Control Panel, restart your computer.

Then uninstall option can also be called «Add/Remove Programs», «Programs and Features», or other similar names.

Restarting your computer is a critical step in this process. Do not skip it!

— After restarting your computer, it’s time to try installing again. Return to your Steam Library, select your application, and click «Install».
— After Steam tells you the program is finished downloading, click the «Launch» button.

The most common reason our installer fails is because the computer is waiting to be restarted. Since you restarted your computer in the last section, this will resolve the problem if that was the issue on your system.

If you’re still seeing the error at this point, it’s likely your installation is failing for another reason. Now it’s time to find out why. To do that, you’ll need to apply the following steps:

— Disable all antivirus or other security software.
— Navigate to the installation folder of your application.

In this folder, you should find the installation file of your application.

— Create a new folder called like your application, for example «Vegas Pro 15».
— Run the file installation file you found in the installation folder of your application.
— Proceed through the installation steps until prompted to choose an install location.
— Once you have the correct location chosen, click «Install».
— After installation return to your Steam Library and try to launch your application. It should start correctly.

can’t install vegas 13 — failed to register module

I’m getting this message:

ERROR: -2147163964 occurred during installation
Module C:Program FilesSonyVegas Pro 13.0x86sfvstproxystubx86.dll failed to register.
HRESULT -2147024703. Contact your support personnel.

I’ve already tried uninstalling / reinstalling all my c++ redistributables

It just gets to the registering modules portion of the installer — then immediately jumps into a message saying rolling back and then I get the error above.

I’ve stopped my anti-virus and even uninstalled it
I’ve also tried run as administrator

«Can you contact him to collect his logfiles? This what I need:

1) Enable MSI logging:

In the registry create the key:

Key (folder): HKLMSoftwarePoliciesMicrosoftWindowsInstaller
REG_SZ Name: Logging
REG_SZ Value: voicewarmupx

the «voicewarmup» part is actually all the command line flags in one row: (v)erbose (o)utofspace (i) status messages, etc. See link for more info: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/223300

2) Reboot
3) Run installer and let it fail
4) Collect our install log from C:Users AppDataRoamingSony
5) Collect the TWO most recent MSI logs from C:Users AppDataLocalTemp. They will have names like MSI. LOG where the ?’s are random letters and numbers.

6) Mail the 3 files to me.

This should give me everything I need to solve his issue.»

Here is the latest response I received.

Thank you for writing back. I found this issue reported in our Development system, and our engineers confirmed that you are receiving that error because one of two things may be occurring:

1. There is a corrupt or otherwise broken registry

2. There is a virus or other permissions limiting software running.

It is recommended that you take your machine into a technician, or a reinstall/recovery of the OS may be a fix as well.

If you still have a follow-up question on this particular incident, please feel free to update it. If you have a completely different question, please create a new incident.

Sony’s software is the only software not installing correctly. Requiring me to pay for expensive technical support and/or completely re-installing the OS are not acceptable solutions.

Any updates? Sony has been unhelpful in my case. They insist the problem is with my computer. I say, since the only, ONLY software that will not install on my computer is theirs, maybe the problem is with their software.

At last I have managed to install Vegas Pro 13. 🙂

I had a problem with another program not booting due to a missing .dll problem. Cured both by doing a Repair Install of Microsoft Visual C++ 2012 Redistributable (x86) — 11.0.61030 and Microsoft Visual C++ 2012 Redistributable (x64) — 11.0.61030

Your solution help me a lot. I managed to install to install Vegas Pro 13.0 too.

Thanks very much for reporting success to this thread! This particular problem has consumed a lot of time for our installer team at SCS with not much to show for it. We had suspected C++ redist, but never could prove it because we’ve failed to get a machine into the bad state despite considerable effort.

If anyone else can try ryclark’s solution and report back success or failure here, it would be very helpful to us.

I was running a prior version of Movie Studio Platinum and it wouldn’t start up when I tried to run it yesterday. So I tried installing the latest version 934 64-bit and now I am getting the installation error reported above. I re-installed the two versions of MS 2012 libraries and that didn’t fix the problem. Has Sony got a fix for this? I last used the software 4/6/15 to make a short video and it worked fine. I have an older version 10.0 but I really want to use version 13.0.

I tried re-installing version 879 and that has the same problem when it tries to register the sfvstproxystubx86.dll. The COM error that comes back is 800700C1. When I tried to hand register the DLL, it said it was incompatible with the 64-bit system.

I wish SONY would test their damn installation software before they distribute it.

Does anyone have a solution?

PS — I got it to install by copying a good version of sfvstproxystubx86.dll into the install directory. However, it gets some other kind of error when it starts up.

Same problem here. Solved by uninstalling VC++ redistribuable 2013 and installing VC++ resdistribuable 2012, then reinstalling Vegas. I also did the repair install on VC++ 2012 just in case.

I’m legit having this problem right now please help! I was having problems opening windows movie maker so I got this and now it won’t open. I have movie studio 14. I’ve tried repairing and uninstalling and re stalling the c++ drivers.

Enable TrustedInstaller in your Services.msc a.k.a «Windows Modules Installer»

Okay, so I also have been having this exact same issue. It’s actually only been a day, and I got it to work. Some of these steps might not even contribute to the fixing of the solution, but do them anyways in order, because I have done it.

1. I opened the installer, and I saw that it said ERROR: -2147163964 occurred during installation

2. I first opened the uninstall thing in windows 10, which i found by typing «uninstall» in the windows search bar.

3. Then, do (windows + r) and type «services. msc » and find «Windows Modules Installer» (this is from Bruizeh’s post above). Right click it and press start.

4. Found Windows visual c++2013 (there is 2 of these) and uninstalled them

5. Then, I clicked change for the 2 Windows visual c++ 2012 (x64 and x86) and clicked repair. the (x64) one will tell you to restart. Restart after youve repaired both.

6. Then, I right clicked the installer and «run as administrator» and it installed.

(I know alot of the above users said it, but it took a long time for me to see what I actually had to do, so this is for those who want)

I saw many other forums, but this method was the only one that worked for me. Hope this helps 😉

I had the same problem with Vegas Pro 14.0 on Windows 10 Pro 10 (sfvstproxystubx86.dll registration error). Thank you ryclark! I figured it was a Visual C++ thing since I’ve had problems with those after hard drive problems this year. I first only tried repairing the x64 before I saw the post and still had the problem. I then tried repair the x86 as well and I was able to install successfully.

Vegas Pro 17 Installation Error — ERROR: -2147163964 occurred

Hey guys so I have been using Vegas Pro for years. I purchased Vegas Pro 17 in 2020 and just got a new computer. I went to install it so I could add it to my new laptop, and during install, I keep getting an error.

First of all, I have no idea what the error is or how to fix it. Second, I have been unable to find «support personnel». There is no email or phone number on the website, just articles linking to FAQ pages. Can anyone help? Thank you

I think I’ve got this one figured out.

Any x64 version of the C++ Redistributable between 2008 — 2012 will work with 64 bit installer versions of Vegas through Pro 14, maybe later. The no-brainer clue, of course, is that x86 C++ Redistributables will not allow system registration of files destined for installation in the «Program Files x86» folder.

As proof, I successfully installed Pro 14 and MSP 13 on a new Win 10 box, but only after installing Pro 8.0c, of which the installer downloaded 2008 x64 in addition to 2008 x86, because it was the first Vegas to include a 64 bit .exe (which fell from grace rather quickly). 2012 C++ is not on this machine, and the only new one is 2008 x64, which allowed MSP 13 and Pro 14 to install after multiple previous fails. Go figure.

For the record . got the ERROR 2147163964 during install of VP17 on my new Dell laptop XPS 15 7590 running Windows 10 .. The error was that C:Program Files (x86)SonyShared Plug-InsAudio_x64sfppack1_x64.dll would not register. The answer was that my new laptop did not have the necessary C++ 2008 Redistributable Package (x86) installed. Once that was installed, all went well.

Obviously Vegas needs this or up to the 2012 C++ Redistributable Package (x86) .. There is lots of bad advice regarding this error out there. First would be to be sure you have the needed C++ installed on your system.

This caught me by surprise. I’ve NEVER had installation problems with any version of Vegas. If they are still relying on such and old C++ then they ought to provide it with the Vegas install file.

With many thanks to all contr8butors to this thread with special shout out to Musicvid, I am confirming that Microsoft etc. downloads of Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package (x86) and Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package (x64) solve the Vegas Pro versions 14 and up install issue for ERROR 2147163964 Shared Plug-InsAudio_x64sfppack1_x64.dll

Musicvid’s 2012 version didn’t solve the problem for me. However, the 2008 version did. Links below. Download both, run and restart, then install your Vegas Pro. I just installed VP18 and it was fine. Cheers!!

Добрый день уважаемые читатели блога и гости канала, в прошлый раз мы с вами победили ошибку: запуск этого устройства невозможен. (код 10), там у нас были проблемы с установкой оборудования, сегодня же разберем проблему с установкой или удалением программы в десятке. Ситуация такая у вас есть ОС windows 10 или предыдущая редакция, вы пытаетесь установить, например обновление Skype или же удалить какую-то программу с вашего ПК, но в процессе получаете ошибка windows 1719: windows installer service could not be accessed, и в итоге установка или удаление завершается неудачно. Ниже я вам расскажу причину данной проблемы, и мы ее победим на сто процентов.

Что такое Windows installer

Windows installer это специальная служба операционной системы Windows, благодаря которой вы можете устанавливать или удалять приложения в ОС.

Причины ошибки windows 1719

Для начала нужно понять, от чего лечить систему, я вам уже озвучил выше, что windows installer service could not be accessed я получал при установке skype и при удалении программы КриптоПРО, но могу точно вам сказать, что выскочит она везде и при любой попытке инсталляции в Windows 10. Вот как это выглядит.

Еще ошибка 1719 может иметь формулировку Служба установщика Windows недоступна в Windows 10, я такое ловил при установке драйверов рутокен. Нечто похожее мы с вами уже видели, когда Служба установщика Windows недоступна в безопасном режиме

В любом случае проблему устранить нужно, так как мы потеряли возможность, что либо ставить или удалять в Windows 10.

Методы решения ошибки windows 1719

И так давайте разбираться как нам с вами устранить windows installer service could not be accessed. Contact your support personnel to verify that it is property registered and enabled и Служба установщика Windows недоступна в Windows 10.

• Включение службы установщика Windows в ручную > да для начала попробуйте удостовериться, что сервис windows installer включен. Сделать это просто нажимаем клавиши WIN+R и вводим services.msc (другие команды меню выполнить читайте по ссылке).

Находим службу Установщик Winows (Windows Installer), щелкаем по ней правым кликом мыши и выбираем из контекстного меню пункт свойства.

Ее принудительный запуск, в некоторых случаях поможет вам избежать ошибку 1719 в windows 10.

В итоге вы должны получить запущенный сервис, после чего смело закрываем оснастку и пробуем проделать процедуру установки или удаления нужно программы, у меня это КриптоПРО. В моем случае это не помогло, идем дальше.

Если вы внимательный пользователь, то можете обратить внимание, что изменить тип запуска у службы у вас не получиться, это еще идет от времен Windows 8.1, а вот в семерке поменять можно, ради эксперимента выставите в ней автоматический тип запуска и перезагрузитесь, проверьте отсутствие ошибки 1719.

• Итак, если первый метод вам не помог и у вас выскакивает Ошибка 1719. «Не удалось получить доступ к службе установщика Windows», то попробуем произвести процедуру восстановления компонентов системы, для этого откройте командную строку от имени администратора

и введите:

Если вы получите поврежденные компоненты, то ваша система постарается их восстановить автоматически.

• Если ошибок при сканировании компонентов вы не обнаружили, то проверьте присутствие файла msiexec.exe по путям, описанным ниже, если его там не будет, то вы логично будите постоянно получать: error 1719 windows installer service could not be accessed. Если файла там нет, то скопируйте его с другой системы, либо можете просто переустановить Windows Installer, он спокойно скачивается в интернете.

• Иногда бывают случаи, что сам файл msiexec.exe находится в нужно расположении, но все равно получаете ошибку windows installer service could not be accessed, и причина в том, что библиотека не зарегистрирована. Давайте я покажу как это сделать. Снова запускаете командную строку от имени администратора, это обязательно и делаете вот, что:

После ручной регистрации сервиса Windows Installer, можете проверять исправилась ли ошибка: error 1719 windows installer service could not be accessed, мне к сожалению, не помогло, но я не расстроился и стал искать дальше.

• Что еще может помочь если вы получаете, что Служба установщика Windows недоступна или windows installer service could not be accessed, как ни странно, при попытке удалить КриптоПРО, он сам может выступать проблемой как для себя, так и для других программ, ломая службу msiexec.exe. Решением, является правка одного ключа реестра, я покажу, что именно нужно исправить и как обычно по традиции выложу ссылку на готовый ключ, чтобы вам было удобно.

Нажимаем WIN+R и вводим regedit, у вас откроется редактор реестра.

Переходим в раздел реестра и исправляем ключ Force с 0 на 1.

После чего перезагружаемся, и о чудо мне это помогло я больше не увидел ни error 1719 windows installer service could not be accessed, ни Служба установщика Windows недоступна, я спокойно смог удалить программу КриптоПРО и больше этой проблемы у меня не возникало, надеюсь вам помогла данная статья и вы смогли устранить очередной глюк Windows 10.
