Kyocera Taskalfa 4500i Error Code C7460
Hi Everyone,
Got this error coming up on the Kyocera Taskalfa 4500i which had earlier given toner message empty. Upon replacing and installing the new toner, restarted the copier and got this error code C7460 on the LCD screen.
Have tried cleaning the developer unit, sensors and also removed the toner from the developer as well as transferring the toner to developer but to no success. I earlier had think that the toner dust might be blocking the sensors or the hopper unit might not be closed properly, have checked but everything seems to be okay.
Is there any thing that i might miss or not done to remove this error code C7460?
Thanks all for helping

Re: Kyocera Taskalfa 4500i Error Code C7460
I’m still struggling with this issue, i don’t havethe service manual with me for the taskalfa 4500i version. I have performed the »10871087» function and then selected U132 to tranfer the toner from hopper to developer leaving it to run for somewhat 20mins or so, but this hasn’t solve my problem. Is the functions i’m using to transfer the toner correct? cos if it is correct then i suspect my developer unit to be faulty or the developer motor, hopper sensors, etc and i might start thinking of ordering a new developer, etc.
Can anyone please advise?

Re: Kyocera Taskalfa 4500i Error Code C7460
code refers to the toner shutter. There is a sensor in the hopper that gets toner on it and will sense the shutter closed. shutter is moved to the right and secured with a screw at set up.

Thanks have done that and got a new error code C7101. I have removed the hopper unit and developer to try and check the connections as well as check the motors, once done that i have also cleaned around the surface of the hopper unit where the toner is transferred to the developer to check if toner dust is present and blocking the sensors, again the error code keeps popping up. I now have no other solution but to replace either developer unit or the hopper unit motor to see if i have solved the error code, but that is my last option and don’t want to start changing things if it is only a small thing i missed out on.

Hi, did you get any resolution to this C7460 issue? I’m experiencing the same issue with a TASKalfa 7550ci which I have cleaned the entire ‘Inner Unit’ and checked, double checked and triple checked the developers and drums, still to no avail… The printer has had yellow toner everywhere in this printer. Not sure if this is blocking a sensor somewhere…

Do you have any bent pins in the union connector? =^..^=
If you’d like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you’ve read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you’re going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you’re going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

I agree that this is the most likely problem. If all else fails, do a continuity check from the DV shutter sensor to YC4/PIN-3 of the Front PWB.

• неисправна плата PWB;
• неисправен датчик количества краски;

1 установите оригинальный картридж;
2 замена поврежденного чипа;
3 прошивки принтера — так что любой картридж можно устанавливать в принтер неограниченное количество раз;
1. Установите картридж, соответствующий региону принтера;
E-0003

Kyocera fs 1040
