    Angry Kyocera P6035cdn error C4600

    Hi Guys,

I’ve been stuck with a Kyocera ECOsys P6035cdn that is driving me crazy!!!, it keeps giving me a C4600 error which is the LSU cleaning motor error. To date:

-> I’ve upgraded to the latest available firmware,

-> Followed the LSU cleaning motor service bulletins and greased the relevant gears and shafts,

-> Replaced the Engine Relay as prescribed in the service manual.

    STILL NO JOY!!!

Anybody have any other options for me to try or ideas other than matches and petrol?

    Thanks.

    Re: Kyocera P6035cdn error C4600

I’ve got a couple of M6535cidn in a very dusty warehouse with the same problem. I’ve unplugged the cleaning motors on both, which got rid of the codes, but I have to manually clean them every few weeks, which is getting old!

If replacing the LSUs would make a permanent fix I would gladly do it, but I haven’t seen anything about modifications to them.

So, it’s been a while since you replaced both LSUs… Did that permanently fix the problem???

    Thanks for your reply,

    Re: Kyocera P6035cdn error C4600

We have modified several of this series machines with some success. We have found that the cleaning motor will need to be replaced and possibly the left connect board to eliminate the error code. While replacing the motor, you can modify the lasers with mylar pieces to help the cleaners get on the glass of the laser. This has eliminated the problem on several machines for us. I will post a link to a video that we made describing the modification. I have sent this to Kyocera with no response from them except that they have tried it also with success, but never bothered to let anyone know about it.

    Re: Kyocera P6035cdn error C4600

I tried all of the above, but I wasn’t settling on having to go back once a month to pull the 4 devs, 4 drums, belt, 4 toners out and wipe 4 slits of glass because of a unplugged motor. I replaced the «Inner Left Duct» (pn= 302NR33020) which is the black plastic housing for the drive train for all 4 LSU cleaners. Don’t forget to grease those gears either. Fairly easy job after having to pull everything out a dozen times.

Не совсем верно — When the LSU cleaning motor is driven, an error signal is detected continuously for 1 s.

Adjustment/Maintenance->Laser Scanner Cleaning

LSU cleaning motor.

Code
4600

Description
LSU cleaning motor error During driving the LSU cleaning motor, an over-current is detected for 5 s successively

Remedy
LSU cleaning spiral 1. Execute [LSU cleaning] using [Adjustment/ Maintenance] of the system menu. 2. Check that the drive gear and cleaning spiral can rotate and they are not unusually loaded, and if necessary, clean and grease.
LSU cleaning motor 1. Confirm that the LSU cleaning motor has been firmly attached. 2. Replace the LSU cleaning motor.
Engine relay PWB 1. Reconnect the connector if its connection is loose. 2. If a wire is pinched by other component, or has defect conduction, replace it. LSU cleaning motor and Engine relay PWB (YC26) 3. Replace the engine relay PWB.

Kyocera P6035cdn error C4600

I’ve been stuck with a Kyocera ECOsys P6035cdn that is driving me crazy. it keeps giving me a C4600 error which is the LSU cleaning motor error.

-> I’ve upgraded to the latest available firmware,

-> Followed the LSU cleaning motor service bulletins and greased the relevant gears and shafts,

-> Replaced the Engine Relay as prescribed in the service manual.

Anybody have any other options for me to try or ideas other than matches and petrol?

Re: Kyocera P6035cdn error C4600

there is bulletin for the same code

Re: Kyocera P6035cdn error C4600

@TECHKYO, Yes. I saw the service bulletin and did the modifications but the error msg: C4600 still comes back.

Re: Kyocera P6035cdn error C4600

unplug the cleaning motor from the pcb
It has been working so far.

Re: Kyocera P6035cdn error C4600

Unplugged the LSU Cleaning motor and it works. had to eventually replace the laser assy A&B to fix the problem

So, it’s been a while since you replaced both LSUs. Did that permanently fix the problem.

    Kyocera M5521CDW Error code: C4600

    Kyocera M5521CDW Error code: C4600

    Hello,

I have a Kyocera Ecosys M5521CDW. Since 3 days it it has an Machine Failure, with Error code: C4600.
The advise that was given to me was; ‘buy a new one, because it is not worth to repair it’. Well, the printer is only 2 years and 4 months old, so i hope you guys can help me a little bit futher.

What I do know: The error code C4600 stands for LSU Cleaning motor error.

Before I just buy a new one, is there anyone who can help me with this error code?

    Thanks! Mike

This made me more than in non-tech can handle. The boy that controls it is called the container relay board it’s located on the right hand side of the machine it’s a long narrow board. The connector you need to disconnect is y c 13 it is a two pin connector. Good luck

Re: Kyocera 6635cidn error code 4600

Yeah, it’s a failure of the laser slit glass cleaner to complete it’s cycle. It’s the same mechanism on Genesis, Mebius, & Mebius II. There are several reasons why this might occur:

I had a customer that would become irritated when the MFP tried to do it’s automatic laser slit glass cleaning during a print job, displaying: «Cleaning the Laser Unit.» The customer explained: «All I do is pull the power cord, and it stops that.» (**genius**). Now the cleaner is not at home position, & goes into C4600. Usually you get a void line in the images too, because the cleaners block the laser slit glasses. It’s simple enough to remove the consumables and loosen the laser unit screws. Lift each of the laser units (two) and rotate the cleaner drive to home the cleaner to the left. Make sure that it turns smoothly. Re-tighten the laser unit screws and re-install the consumables.

In dirty environments the cleaner can drag. Cleaning the worm drive and lubricating it with grease can help.

If the motor turns slowly or just will not run, the engine relay PWB may have a failing drive circuit. Temporarily home the cleaners to the left, then disconnect J26 on the engine relay PWB. The cleaner will not stall … it won’t move at all. But it also won’t clean the laser slit glasses, so you’ll be out more often to clean the laser slit glasses manually. (towel & glass cleaner). For the automated cleanings to resume, you’ll have to replace the engine relay PWB.

You can test the Laser Slit Glass Cleaner multiple times in the System Menu to see that it can complete several cycles.

    =^..^=

If you’d like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you’ve read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you’re going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you’re going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Re: Kyocera 6635cidn error code 4600

Its a bit late once this error has started, but Kyocera have filters you can fit on the intake fans to prevent dust entering the laser scanner area.
Its a bit of a job removing the lasers and the cleaning mechanism for replacement of a thorough clean. Good luck.

We’ve tried the modifications and were never successful. We just remove the augers and clean them whenever the customer gets streaks.
